Someone said that there was the abode of darkness someone said that it was a demon and some said that it was a huge snake

jaeh kahai ik naeh kahai ika; biot ihee man mai tin dhaaro ||

Some of them expressed a desire to go into it and some of them refused to go and in this way, the discussion continued

Then one of them said, “Go into it fearlessly, Krishna will protect us.”171.

They called Krishna and all of them entered in it and that demon closed his mouth

sayaam joo aavai jabai mam meet ho; biot ihee man ma'dh kayo hai ||

He had already thought about it that as Krishna would enter, he would close his mouth

kaan(h) ge tab meet layo mukha; dhevan to hahakaar bhayo hai ||

When Krishna went in, he closed his mouth and there was great lamentation amongst the gods

jeevan moor hutee hamaree; ab souoo aghaasur chaab gayo hai ||172||

All of them began to say that he was the only support o their life and he was also chewed by Aghasura.172.

Krishna prevented the full closure of the mouth of the demon by extending his body

rok le sabh hee kar kai bala; saas baddayo tabahee uh jeeko ||

Krishna obstructed the whole way with his force and hands and thus the breath of Aghasura began to be puffed up

Krishna tore away his head and this brother of Bakasura breathed his last

goodh parayo tihako im jiau; savadhaagar ko tut gayo mat ghee ko ||173||

The marrow of his head came out like the breaking of the pitcher of ghee of some trader.173.

In this way, when the passage was created, Krishna came out alongwith his gopa friends from the head of the demon

All the gods were overjoyed to see Krishna surviving from the attack of the huge serpent

The ganas and gandarvas began to sing songs and Brahma began to recite Vedas

aana(n)dh sayaam bhayo man mai; nag ra'chhak jeet chale ghar bhaare ||174||

There was happiness in the minds of all, and Krishna and his companions, the conquerors of the Naga, started for their home.174.

The poet has also given a simile for this spectacle

It seemed that the gopas had become red by carrying on heads the bricks and Krishna had run and stood on the top of the citadel.175.
