yaua(n) kaheeyo pur baasan ko; taj kai birajabaasan ko sukh dha'ieeyai ||

They also said : ‘ O Krishna! now leave the residents of the city and give comfort to the inhabitants of Braja,’

Yashoda said that the Lord of Braja was very dear to them,

“And her love was incomparable, therefore her son should immediately leave Matura and come Braja.960.

I have also her great love in my mind,

“Therefore Yashoda has asked you to leave Mathura and come to Braja

eiyaane hute tab maanat the; ab sayaane bhe tab ek na maanee ||961||

Yashoda has also said, ‘O Krishna! when you were a child, you acceded to everything, but now when you have grown bigger, you are not acceding to even one request.961.

“ ‘Leave Mathura and come to Braja

maan kai seekh kaho hamaree; tin thaur nahee palavaa thahara'ieeyai ||

Accept my saying and do not stay ever for a little while in Mathura,’ “

You have forgotton that time when you used to fall at our feet.962.

gavaiaaran preet pachhaan kahayo; teh te teh thaur na ddeel lagaavahu ||

’ The gopis were saying under the impact of passionate love not to delay your coming further

“The gopis falling at my feet said, ‘O Udhava! go and ask Krishna to come

jai kai aavahu yo(n) kaheeyo; hamako sukh ho hamahoo(n) sukh paavahu ||963||

Tell him also to come here, he himself should feel comfortable and give comfort to us.963.

aavahu fer kahayo biraj mai; ik kaam ke'ee tumaro nahee chheejai ||

Come again to Braja and by doing this one task for us, you will not lose anything

“ ‘O merciful! come and show your brilliance, we remain alive only on seeing you

O Krishna! come again and enjoy the relish of our amorous play in the alvoces.964.

kaan(h) rache purabaasan so(n); kabahoo(n) na he'ee biraj naar chitaaree ||

Now Krishna is living with the residents of the city and he has now not even remembered the women of Braja

“ ‘Our eyes are feeling tired on looking for the arrival of Krishna

“ ‘You may come, leaving Mathura immediately, we are helpless without you

I had been very egoistic with you, come to me, I accept defeat.966.

“ ‘We had not harmed you in any way, why have you forsaken us? O Lord! falling at my feet Radha said this:

“ ‘O Krishna! you have absorbed yourself with the residents of the city, forgetting the women of Braja

maan karayo tum so; ghat kaam karayo ab sayaam hahaa ham haaree ||967||

O Krishna! we had shown persistence towards you, but now we feel defeated.’967.

khelat thee tum so ban mai; teh aausar kee kabahoo(n) sudh keejai ||

We used to play with you some time, O Krishna! do remember that occasion some time

gaavat thee tum pai mil kai; jeh kee sur te kachhoo taan na chheejai ||

“ ‘We used to sing with you in a lengthened tune

taako kahayo teh kee sudh kai; bahuro biraj baasan ko sukh dheejai ||968||

We have asked you to remember all this, O Krishna! communicate again with the residents of Braja.968.

yo(n) kahayo tayaag tumai matharaa; biraj ku(n)jan bheetar a'ieeyai ||

Radha said, ‘Leave Mathura and come into the alcoves of Braja,

jiau hamare sa(n)g khelat the; teh bhaa(n)t kahayo fir khel macha'ieeyai ||

“ ‘And proclaim loudly about the amorous play as you had been doing earlier

cwh GnI quih dyKn kI gRih Awie khXo hmko suK d`eIXY ]969]

chaeh ghanee tuh dhekhan kee; greh aai kahayo hamako sukh dha'ieeyai ||969||

O Krishna! the desire of seeing you is getting powerful, kindly come and give happiness to us.969.

sook bhiee putaree see kahayo; kahee yo(n) har so binatee sun leejai ||

’ Radha has withered away and has become slim and she has said

baatan moh na hot prateeta; kahayo ghanasayaam pikheiee praseejai ||

“ ‘O Krishna! listen to my request

Awnn pY sm cMd inhwr ckor sI gÍwrn ko suK dIjY ]970]

aanan pai sam cha(n)dh nihaara; chakor see gavaiaaran ko sukh dheejai ||970||

I am not satisfied only with the talk, I shall only be satisfied on seeing you, give happiness to the partridge-like gopis by your moon-like face.’ “970.
