pun bhe munee chhitarai ||

Then Muni became the king of the earth

The Lion-King of this world.

By conquering the unbreakable enemies,

He ruled gloriously over the earth.1.320.

ar ghai ghai anek ||

He killed many enemies,

rip chhaaddeeyo nahee ek ||

And did not leave even one of them alive.

He then ruled uninterrupted.

Glory-incarnate and devoid-king

The Sovereign of undivided and imperishable kingdom.3.322.

Conquering many kings,

bahu chhaadd ke sar jaal ||

And shooting many arrows,

Killing innumerable enemies,

chhitakeen raaj dhura(n)t ||323||

He established immeasurable kingdom on the earth.4.323.

Ruling the prosperous kingdom for a long time,

The king of kings said thus

“Prepare and altar for sacrifice,

“And call the Brahmins quickly.”5.324.

Many Brahmins were then invited.

None of them was left at his home.

The consulation with ministers and Brahmins began.

mat mitr ma(n)tr uchaar ||325||

The sagacious friend and ministers began to recite mantras.6.325.

Then the king of king said,

kar jag ko chit chai ||

“There is incentive in my mind for a sacrifice

ikv kIjIAY mKswl ]

kiv keejeeaai makhasaal ||

“What type of sacrificial altar be prepared?

khu mMqR imqR auqwl ]326]

kahu ma(n)tr mitr utaal ||326||

“O my friends, tell me quickly.”7.326.

tab ma(n)tr mitran keen ||

Then the friends consulted one another.

They told the king like this:

suin rwj rwj audwr ]

sun raaj raaj udhaar ||

O generous monarch, listen,

ds cwir cwir Apwr ]327]

dhas chaar chaar apaar ||327||

“Thou art very sagacious in all the fourteen worlds.8.327.

satiju'g mai sun rai ||

“Listen, O king, in Satyuga,

mK kIn cMf bnwie ]

makh keen cha(n)dd banai ||

“The goddess Chandi had performed the sacrifice

Air mwrkY mihKys ]

ar maarakai mahikhes ||

“By killing the enemy, the demon Mahishasura,

bhu qoK kIn psys ]328]

bahu tokh keen pases ||328||

“She had pleased Shiva greatly”9.328.

After killing Mahishasura in the battlefield,

The canopy was held over the head of Indra.

She had pleased all the vamps,

kar dhoor dhaanav garab ||329||

And effaced the pride of the demons.10.329.

mahikhes kau ran jeet ||

After conquering Mahishasura in the battlefield.

dhij dhev keen abheet ||

She had made the Brahmins and gods fearless

She called the god Indra,

And seizing the earth from Mahishasura, she held the canopy over his head.11.330.

She called the four-headed Brahma,

chit chaup siau jag mai ||

With her heart’s desire, she (the mother of the world),

Began the performance of the sacrifice

She had indivisible and powerful glory.12.331.

Then the four-headed Brahma spoke,

“Listen, O Chandi, I bow in obeisance to thee,

jim hoi aais moh ||

“Just as thou hast asked me,

iqm BwKaU mq qoih ]332]

tim bhaakhuoo mat toh ||332||

“In the same way, I advise thee.”13.322.

The innumerable beings and creatures of the world,

The goddess herself called them to come,

And within her enemies she cut them in an instant.
