“O king! ask only the knowledge-Guru,

He will only tell us all the method.”146.

The king reflected methodically and invoked knowledge and said,

“O chief Guru! tell me the mystery as to how the sage can be seen ?”147.

Then the knowledge-Guru uttered these ambrosial words,

”O king! Take the knife of Viveka (Discrimination) and tear off this fish.”148.

Then, whatever the Guru had instructed, it was done accordingly

When the belly of the fish was ripped, then that great sage was seen

He was sitting there with closed eyes and concentration, detaching himself from all desires.150.

When the contemplation of the sage broke, the sheet was reduced to ashes by the sight of the sage.151.

If anything else had come within his sight (at that time),

It could not have been saved from being reduced to ashes there can be no devotion without true love.152.
