After the continuation of war for a long time, Balram held his huge mace and powerfully struck it with both the hands on the enemy

When the blow struck him, he died and went to the next world

In this way, Shukdev related the bravery of Balram to the king

Whosoever has heard this story from the mouth of a Brahmin, he obtained happiness

jaa ke ke'ee sas soor nisaa dhiva; taahee kee baat suno jeea aayo ||

taahee kee baat sunaau dhijotama; bedhan kai jouoo bhedh na paayo ||2402||

“He, whose creation are the sun and moon, and day and night we should listen to his words. O great Brahmin! relate the story of Him, whose secret has not even been comprehended by the Vedas.2402.

“He, whom, Kartikeya and Sheshnaga searched and got tired, but they could not know His end

He, who has been eulogised by Brahma in the Vedas.

khoj rahe siv se jeh a(n)ta; ana(n)t kahio thak a(n)t na paayo ||

“He, whom Shiva etc. had been searching, but could not know His Mystery

taahee kee baat suno tumare mukh te; sukadhev ihai thaharaayo ||2403||

O Shukdev! relate to me the story of that Lord.”2403.

When the king said this, then Shukdev replied,

dheen dhiaal kee baat sunaavat hau tuh kau; tuh bhedh chhapaiee ||

“I am relating to you the mystery of that Merciful Lord, who is the support of the oppressed

ibpR sudwmw huqo ibpqw iqh kI hau khau hir jYsy imtweI ]

bipr sudhaamaa huto bipataa teh kee; hau kahau har jaise mitaiee ||

“Now I relate this how the Lord removed the suffering of the Brahmin named Sudama

so hau sunwvq hau quih kau sun lY soaU sRaunn dY inRprweI ]2404]

so hau sunaavat hau tuh kau; sun lai souoo sraunan dhai niraparaiee ||2404||

O king! now I relate that, listen attentively,”2404.
