Water resides in the earth and mixes with all colours and saps.

As somebody goes on pushing it, it goes down and down.

It remains hot in sunshine and cold in the shade.

naavanu jeevadiaan muiaan peetai saanti santokhu hovandaa.

Bathing, living, dying, drinking it always gives peace and satisfaction.

It makes impure ones pure and remains undisturbed in the lower tanks.

guramoukhi soukh phalu bhaau bhau sahaju bairaagu sadaa vigasandaa.

Similarly, the gurmukh person in the love and fear of the Lord and observing indifference, full of equipoise remains delighted.
