Who is there here in this city who can confront the enemy

If we run away, we lose our honour and they will kill all of us in anger, therefore we have to fight with the army of Jarasandh without hesitation

“And assuming power, he may remove the demons fron this earth

bahe bhait pisaachan kaakan ddaakani; tokh karai pal mai pal so ||1040||

He may offer his flesh to the ghosts, fiends and vampires etc., and may satisfy the people becoming a martyr in the battlefield.”1040.

When Krishna said like this, then the endurance of everyone gave way

har dhekh tabai mukh bai rahe; sabahoo(n) bhajabe kahu chi't karayo ||

Seeing Krishna, their mouths remined wide open and they all began to think of running away

The honour of all the Kshatriyas melted away like the hails in rain

kouoo jai na saamoohe sa'tran ke; nirap ne mukh te bidh yaa ucharayo ||1041||

None could make himself so bold as to fight with the enemy and boldly come forward to fulfil the desire of the king.1041.

None could preserve his endurance and everyone’s mind sped away from the idea of war

bhaajan kee sabhahoo(n) bidh kee; kinahoo(n) nahee kop saraasan saajayo ||

None could hold his bow and arrows in anger and thus dropped the idea of fighting, all of them planned to run away

Seeing this, Krishna thundered like a lion after killing the elephant
