Virtue of a Gurmukh

gurmuiK swiD AswDu swDu vKwxIAY ]

guramoukhi saadhi asaadhu saadhu vakhaaneeai.

Gurmukh accomplishes the intractable and hence is called sadhu.

gurmuiK buiD ibbyk ibbykI jwxIAY ]

guramoukhi budhi bibayk bibaykee jaaneeai.

Gurmukh has such wisdom, which is competent to separate water from milk. This is why he is called wise.

gurmuiK Bwau Bgiq Bgqu pCwxIAY ]

guramoukhi bhaau bhagati bhagatu pachhaaneeai.

The devotion of gurmukh is loving devotion.

gurmuiK bRhm igAwnu igAwnI bwxIAY ]

guramoukhi braham giaanu giaanee baaneeai.

Since the gurmukhs attain divine knowledge, they are called knowledgeable ones (jnanis).

gurmuiK pUrx miq sbid nIswxIAY ]

guramoukhi pooran mati sabadi neesaaneeai.

Gurmukhs have the wisdom fully stamped and marked by the Word.

Climbing the stairs of high regards, the gurmukh enjoys the delight of love of the beloved Lord.
