The Lord is imperceptible

brahamaadik vaydaan sanai nayti nayti kari bhaydu n paaiaa.

Brahmas alongwith the Vedas have declared Him this is not, this is not (neti neti) and these all could not known His mystery.

mhwdyv AvDUq hoie nmo nmo kir iDAwn n AwieAw ]

mahaadayv avadhootu hoi namo namo kari dhiaani n aaiaa.

By becoming avadhut (a kind of superior yogi), Madadev also recited his name but his meditation could not attain him.

lomas tapu kari saadhanaa haoumai saadhi n saadhu sadaaiaa.

Sage Lomas rigorously undertook ascetic discipline but could not overcome his ego and could not be called a true ascetic.

chiru jeevanu bahu handdhanaa guramoukhi soukhu phalu palu n chakhaaiaa.

Ever-living Markandey spent a long life but could not taste the pleasure fruit of the gurmukhs.
