Problem: App Crashes after Launch
Cause: There is not enough room on your device for all of the components of iGurbani to download. The app will take up 289 MB of space.
Solution: Remove songs, pictures or apps to make enough room. Re-install iGurbani from the App Store

What makes iGurbani stand out from the rest is the multiple translations of Gurbani as well as a new revolutionary way of displaying Vishraams by highlighting text.

Thank you for taking the time to go through this guide for iGurbani. This guide hopes to guide you through the various features and functions of the App. You can use the tabs on the left side to navigate through the different guides.
iGurbani is comprised of the following displays:
The main menu is where you can navigate to the different areas of iGurbani.
Gurbani Search Screen
This is where you can perform your search for Gurbani as well as control options for searching and go back and see your search history.
Shabad Display Screen
This screen is used to display the shabad you have searched. It has customizable options to adjust font sizes and enable/disable different parts.
Favorites can be access from the main menu and it gives you control over the items you would like to save. You can delete items from the list as needed.
The about screen gives a little bit of information about the iGurbani project.
The Gurbani Search screen allows you to perform your search to locate Shabads. To begin just enter in the first letters of each shabad in a line.
For the Gurmukhi Line

enter the first letters of each shabad.
Enter in Search: ppjk without any spaces.
The search will automatically return results as you type.
Please Note: The auto-search will start after you have typed in the 3rd letter (First Letter Start and First Letter Anywhere mode)
Once you have selected the Gurmukhi Line you will be taken to the Shabad Display screen and the whole Shabad will be populated
In order to pull up the Search Options screen press the Search Options icon which is located on the navigation bar.

In order switch between Search Modes, select the box underneath the title Search Mode in options.
There are 5 different modes:
To perform an Ang/Vaar search you type in the page number from the keypad and then press the search button which is located in the search bar.
The default search is performed with all scriptures. To limit the results you can use a search filter discussed in 05. Search Filter.
Full Word search will take your search term and locate it within the Gurmukhi text. It will return all results that match the string of text that you enter.
Full Word search will take your search term and locate it within the English translation provided by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa text. It will return all results that match the string of text that you enter.
In order to narrow your search, select box underneath the title Filtering Options in options.
There are 3 filters you can apply to your search:
The Shabad Display screen shows the contents of the shabad you have searched.
The various parts that make up this screen are as follows:
Click on the Menu button to reveal the Display Options Menu.
Short Pause (Jamki) identified by GREEN highlight.
Long Pause (Vishraam) identified by ORANGE highlight.
Bhagat Ji's vishraam are highlighted in purple text.
Vishraam (Long Pause) is identified by a semicolon ;
Thamki (Medium Pause) is identified by a period .
Jamki (Short Pause) is identified by a comma ,
To enable the Share Menu toggle the Share button.
There are 3 options in the Share Menu:
Favorites are located on the Main Menu.
All of your favorites are stored in the order you added them. You have the ability to remove items from the list by pressing the Edit button or swipe to the left.
Your search history is located on the search screen.
This list is populated everytime you search a shabad and it get displayed. The list is ordered by date and shows the most recent search. You cannot delete individual entries but using the Clear All button you can delete all entries.
